Connecting a Firestick to a Projector
There are different ways to connect your Amazon Firestick to your projector. One such way is through HDMI cable. To do this, plug one end of the cable into the HDMI port on the back of the projector and then plug the other end into an open HDMI port on your Amazon Firestick. Now that it’s connected, you will see your projector screen mirrored onto your Amazon Firestick and vice versa.
If you need more than just a simple mirroring setup, there is another method called “Side-by-Side” which will allow both devices to run simultaneously without one getting in front of or behind the other. If you choose this setup, feel free to follow the instructions below and skip down to the “Side-by-Side” section.

1. Connect one end of the HDMI cable into an open HDMI port on your Amazon Firestick.

2. Connect another end of the HDMI cable directly into a projector’s HDMI output or A/V input (depending on if you have a DLP or LCD projector).
If you have an older AGP model, there is no need for this because it does not have an HDMI output, but there are newer models that do so make sure to check your spec sheets for compatibility before purchasing this accessory. For most projectors, simply plug in the side with the HDMI connector first.

If it does not fit, try swiveling the cable until it pops in. If it still doesn’t fit, your projector’s HDMI port may require you to push the other side in at an angle.

If your setup employs a wall-mount, and you would prefer to connect both devices here, you can plug a second HDMI cable into one of the ports on the Fire stick and run it over to a wall-mount with an open HDMI input.

Once there, plug that inside of an HDMI port on the wall mount using another HDMI cable (the same type).

Alternatively, you could use a USB-C to HDMI adaptor if your wall mount has USB ports instead. This way you can charge your Fire stick while using it with the projector at the same time.

If this is something you are interested in, look for a VGA input on your projector or use an HDMI-to-VGA adaptor.

Once connected, you will be able to plug in additional devices such as your laptop computer and/or Amazon Fire TV stick so that all three devices can run simultaneously.

You may not be able to mirror all of them, however, or it may take a bit of tweaking depending on what type of connection you choose.
To find out if your projector will support the HDMI-to-VGA adaptor, do the following: 1) Connect your Amazon Firestick without the HDMI cable and left it on.
2) Turn on projector, which should turn on both your Firestick and project.
3) Unplug one of the HDMI cables and test if your setup works. If it doesn’t work, try ordering an adaptor and making sure one end of the cable is attached to an open port of your Firestick and another is plugged into an open VGA input in the projector (if you have one).
